On Thursday 12th and Friday 13th July, the Year Six children attended their new secondary school to see what life there would be like in the next academic year.

Meanwhile, back at Marsden School, each class moved up for a taster of their new class. A lot of nervous and excited children came into school on Thursday morning but fears and worries were soon put at rest when they entered their future classrooms.

Year five talked about their successes of the past year and their hopes for the future; then they wrote a letter to Mrs Watson who will be their new teacher in Year Six.

Here they are hard at work composing the letter and trying to make a good impression. We are confident that they will do very well in the coming year.

Year Five, heads down – trying to show how they can write a letter and making a good impression.
